We have had an enforced week or so at home because of colds so decided today it was time for a foray into the outside world.
After lunch we went for a visit with eldest daughter and were greeted at the gate by grand daughter's dog guarding the property.
This is Mack. He is staying with our daughter while
his folk are away for a few days in Auckland.
Mack decided the best place to sit on a cool winter's day
was my lap. Not to be left out Sooty also decided
the best place to sit on a cool winter's day was my lap.
Sooty has never sat on my lap in all the years
I have known him, about seven!
There's a first time for everything I guess :)
Mack also usually sits on my GKB's knee, a privilege
for my GKB as Mack has a bit of an aversion to men.
So don't ask me what was different today.
I don't know. Jealousy perhaps?
It meant I couldn't move until it was time to go.
Well I could have but I didn't.
And this was Mack as we left, all wrapped up in
a blanket because his paws and ears were cold.
Have a good week,
Diana
Such a sweet photo of you with the pets! I guess they are jealous of one another! Wishing you a very nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Diana! Oh, I love this little story and little Mack is a cute little doggy. I'm sure you were enjoying the love of these little animals. I'm ready to get another dog. I need one! Thanks for popping in to see me and hope you have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hmm....jealously? smiles
ReplyDeleteWith our weather being sooo hot, it still seems funny to me that other parts of this beautiful world can have snow and ice and COLD....cute cute animals..
ReplyDeleteVery cute photos of everyone involved.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Mack looks like quite the guard dog. You now have two new friends!
ReplyDeleteOh how cute. Looks like someone was jealous. The little dog looks alot like my daughters dog! Thank's for coming over and visiting my fence post. My DIL took the photo of the book with the fence in the background for me. I'll be writing a post this afternoon about the backstory. Thanks again for visiting. I'm following you now.
ReplyDeleteThey look so snug on your lap.
ReplyDeleteOh my,....I am giggling at the doggie in his blankie. so cute...
ReplyDeleteVery sweet photo of you and the friends but I am surprised Mack didn't take your ankle and leg off as you walked in the gate.
ReplyDeleteWhere I live next to the border with Mexico we are overrun by nasty Chihuahuas. They are guard dogs and Chihuahuas bites are common.
I am happy to hear your daughter has a nice one to look after.
cheers, parsnip and thehamish
Oh, my! Aren't they adorable? It didn't look like you minded having them on your lap. I can't blame you. What cutie pies!
ReplyDeleteSounds like jealousy to me. : )
ReplyDeleteAdorable picture of Mack all wrapped up.
Mack and Sooty are adorable and they look quite cozy on your lap :) Thanks for sharing your sweet photos. Have a blessed weekend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteAwww...those fur babies are both adorable! And yes, I'd say it just might be that jealousy thing...we've had that happen at our house too :)
ReplyDeleteThey both wanted your attention, didn't they? And I'm sure it felt nice and warm on your lap! Enjoy your week sweet lady. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie that Mack is! Hope you are feeling better this week.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling much better by now! How cute are those sweet pets?! I especially loved the pic of Mack wrapped in the blanket.
