Daydreams

Daydreams

There are some things I dream of doing in this life time.
I'm reluctant to call it a bucket list, even though that's fashionable,
but it also implies you may die when you get to the bottom of the list. And at the moment it's a short list. So I think that I'll just call it 'daydreams'.
After all, it would be a pretty sad life if we couldn't dream a little.
Some are big dreams and some are little dreams and some may never come about. And that's okay. Some are achievable without moving far from home and others are just misty daydreams floating in the ether. Some are quite achievable with just a little effort on my part. This is where the 'daydreams' part of my blog name comes in.

****************
I'd like to visit England in the springtime, when the bluebells are in full bloom.
I could come home via Japan and take in the cherry blossoms.

************
I'd like to do the Cadbury Dunedin half marathon/walk around
the Otago Harbour.

************
I'd like to take part in the Polar Plunge off St. Clair beach
at least once.

*************
I'd like to visit San Francisco and ride the cable cars.

*************
I'd like to get in the car and explore our beautiful country
with my GKB, Bob, beside me.

 Milford Sound, July 12th, 2020.
A spectacular and wonderful experience.

Mitre Peak at the head of the sound.

 Stirling Falls.
Three times higher than Niagra Falls at 1,300 feet.
The cruise boat goes right in under the falls, an exhilerating experience if you're brave enough to stand outside.
Not everyone did.
**************
I'd like to move into a smaller house with a smaller yard
to look after.

*************
I'd like to cycle/walk the Otago rail trail.

I have finally started to walk the trail with my sister on March 1st, 2016. We have completed 22ks
of 154ks. It's a start.

***********
I'd like to visit Tane Mahouta, a giant Kauri tree between 1500 and 2500 years old. He is in the middle of the bush in the middle of the North Island of New Zealand.

***********
I'd like a holiday in Auckland city with my good kiwi bloke.

***********

Maybe it all seems a bit selfish, there's a lot of 'I'd like to do' but then it is a list of my daydreams, not anyone else's and some of them would include other people as a natural course of events.
