A little run of sadness.

I'm just checking in to let you know that although I have not been around it is for a good reason.

My little mother passed away on June 11 at the good old age of 88.

Three weeks later to the day my sister's niece also passed away aged in her early 50's.

Last week a lovely friend of ours died aged just 68.

All three deaths were totally unexpected, even Mum's as it wasn't her heart that failed but she contracted septicaemia and couldn't fight it off.

So we're all just a bit sad at the moment and life is going to be different in the future. I have to admit to being a bit      confused as well for some reason.

But I hope to be back on the page and visiting before too long.

Blessings,
Diana

  1. Oh my dear Diana, I am so sorry to hear of your "little Mum's" sudden passing. I know how hard this is as I have lost both my mother and my dad, and we are right now in the midst of watching my mother in law slip away. We also recently lost a dear cousin, in her mid 60's. Praying for you today, that the Lord will give you comfort that only He can give, and that He will ease your mind and heart and give you peace. Sending (((hugs))) across the world to you this morning, and may your day be filled with His peace and a sense of His Presence in your life. You are never alone.

  7. Oh, Diana! I have been thinking of you SO strongly, and I have been praying for you and your dear little mother. The Lord brings you to my mind, and both of your names are written in my permanent prayer book. It will pain me to take her name out, even though I know the reason I am doing that is that she no longer needs our prayers as she is safe and resting in Jesus' arms. She passed away on the very day my husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Dear friend, I am SO deeply sorry to hear of her passing. I know we never met, but when you wrote about her, it would SO remind me of my own dear, little mother, who has now rested in Jesus' arms for over six years. Your relationship seemed so similar to mine and dear Mom's, and I always enjoyed reading about the things you would do together. How odd that both of our mothers' deaths were similar. Mom became septic, also, at the end, and she couldn't fight it off. She was 84. No matter how long we are permitted to keep our mothers here on earth, the pain is SO intense in losing them. Of course, you are confused. So many blows to the heart and out of nowhere. You will reel in the aftermath for a long time. Losing one is so hard, let alone losing three at one time. I am SO sorry, and I want you to know that I will continue praying for you. My heart goes out to you so much. May Jesus tenderly wrap you tighter in His embrace and bring a deep-settled peace to your spirit knowing that He is with you. God bless you, my friend...SO sorry to see this sad, sad news.
