Thank you...

...to everyone who prayed while Mum and I travelled this week.
We had a disappointing trip north  - discovered that little mother was not even on the waiting list for surgery, but she is now. It could take up to 4 months before anything happens though. At least the scan happened so it was not a totally wasted trip but very tiring for an 87 year old.

So once more we are playing a waiting game. She now needs to be reassessed regarding living alone. At the moment she is still with me but wants to go back to her own home, understandably.

Here she is waiting in the hoist, or pope mobile
as they called it, to be put on the plane.
Once again I thank you for your kindness and prayers.

Normal service will resume
next week, hopefully :)

  1. Continued prayers for this situation Diana. I know it is hard to see your little mother wanting to go back to her home. She is fortunate to have you to care for her.

  3. Oh, bless her little heart! I am SO sorry, my friend. Thankfully, Jesus is the Great Physician, and there is no waiting list for Him. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think. I trust He will touch your dear, little mother, while she is waiting for the doctor. Please give her a big hug from me. :)

  4. Praying for you and your little Mum...I know how she must want to be home...my MIL was like that as well, and now that she is in a nursing home she tells us to please never take her out of there...she loves it there! We never would have imagined it! Praying that your mother will have the strength to wait for the surgery, and that you will be able to care for her in the interim. Thank you for the update.

  5. Diana, thanks so much for visiting my blog which allowed me to reconnect with you and scroll back through months of your posts that I have missed. When I started following your blog I guess I neglected putting your blog address in my blogroll, which I just did now. I am glad you and yours had a happy family reunion! I am asking the Lord to comfort and encourage you as you wait for your mom's heart surgery. My mom had a major surgery at the age of 86 and healed amazingly well. I am so grateful for her long good life. Blessings on you and yours this week. xx

  10. Disappointing for you both but hopefully it will all come together in 4 months. I hope she can be able to live alone as she wants.
