ANZAC Day, April 25th

In honour of all those men and women
who have fought and died in foreign places
to secure our freedom and our way of life.

The Ode of Remembrance
 taken from Laurence Binyon's poem, "For the Fallen"

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

 We will remember them.

  4. Dearest Diana;
    Oh, through PC I learned about ANZAC (New Zealand Army and Australian Corps) and the Gallipoli peninsula they fought. My late father fought World war II, but didn't talked about it at all. I remember guessing the hardship he had.
    Blessing to all those brave men and women !!!

    Sending lots of love and hugs from Japan to my dear friend in New Zealand, xoxo Miyako*
