Surely not?

I thought I'd go for a walk around the block tonight
instead of down the Silverstream, just for a change.

Look at what I found parked outside
one of the local rest homes.

A portaloo!!
Oh no! Surely not?
But it's okay. Don't panic!
Don't panic Captain Mainwaring!
These pieces of machinery were
also parked just a little further down the road.

I don't know why this one is so dark.

Along with these rolls of cable.

So I'm guessing the portaloo will be used by the workmen
who dig up the road and lay the cable
and not by the residents of the rest home.
Phew!
I'll bet they're relieved.

******************

I have been very good walking this week, I've been out every day apart from when I'm working (2 days). And I didn't tell you last post that my GKB will be our support person. He will have the car and be able to go fishing or whatever he feels like.
As long as he remembers to keep his cell phone turned on in case we need him.

Until next time,
take care.
Diana

  1. Glad the walking is going well. When I first caught a glimpse of the blue edifice, I thought it was a TARDIS!! Much Doctor Who frenzy going on here at the moment, of course, with the revealing of the new Doctor on BBC 1 tonight at 7pm GMT.

  2. Dearest Diana,
Oh, you are very determined lady, glad to hear that your walking going as planed. I could see what the blue thing is as we can find these sometime at the construction site p;)
Wonderful that your husband can be your support person. He is doing well, right?

  3. It's funny the things you see when you're out walking. In our neighbourhood an apartment building is being built, with lots of work people coming and going. There is a line of four portaloos on the worksite - three blue and one pink! Nice that they make special accommodation for the working women!

  4. Hi Diana! That is a funny sight. Hope the little olden ones didn't have to use it!
Thanks for popping in to see me.
    Be a sweetie,

  6. Just as well it wasn't for the residents. I guess the workmen are going to be there for sometime now that they have all the facilities in place. I hope it doesn't cause you too much disruption! Perhaps you better take the other walk for a while!? Joan
