Am I ready for Christmas? No.

Christmas is almost here as you know.
Am I ready? No. Does it matter? Not really.
I think it will probably be the end of the week before
I get any more shopping done. That's just the way
it's panning out this year. But on Christmas Day
the whole family will gather at number one son's
home and we will celebrate together,
just as we have every year.
And that's what matters :)

Newly married grand daughter, Monica, came over
and decorated our tree. She did a great job too :)

And after putting my nativity up and looking at it for
several days I have just realized that Joseph is AWOL!

I've made a cake too, disaster. I've cut it up and
will use it for pudding with hot custard over it.

And so 'til next time
 E noho ra, goodbye

  1. How nice that your granddaughter decorated the Christmas tree. It looks lovely. I'm still preparing for family who will be coming for Christmas with grandchildren and partners arriving in the week between Christmas and New Year. Thankfully our daughter will host Christmas Day festivities. Custard and Christmas cake sounds a good way to serve this festive sweet treat. I wish you a blessed Christmas with your family.

  2. Well Mary was missing from our Fisher Price Nativity that the grandchildren have enjoyed for years. Finally she showed back up! As Landon said, You cant have Jesus with our Mary!

    1. How right Landon is, I chuckled when I read that. I have a feeling Joseph may have been broken but can't for the life of me think when. Merry Christmas to everyone at your place :)

  3. I was taken aback today when I realised Christmas Eve was one week from today. For whatever reason I thought I had two weeks. Loads of time to get sorted!

  4. Your granddaughter did a beautiful job. Since Sunday I'm continuously baking. Hopefully tomorrow will be done, and I can distribute the them among friends and relatives.

  5. I am ready and need to stop buying! That is the problem the closer Christmas gets. Now to get the brunch menu together. How nice to have someone decorate your tree. I didn't put one up because I have to do it!

  6. How nice to have your beautiful granddaughter help you! It looks lovely. And I like the way you handle things...just go to plan b with the cake! heehee! Holiday hugs, Diane

  7. Sounds like a great way to use that cake that got messed up. Sounds delicious.
You have the right idea about what is important.
A very merry Christmas to you and your family.

  8. Merry Christmas to you and your family! I know this first Christmas without your dear little mother will be different and sad. Praying for God to hold you extra close, my friend. God bless you all. :)

  9. Dear Diana,
your Christmas tree looks very nice!!
Merry Christmas to you and to your dears!

  10. I love christmas. Everything is so colorful and jolly.
