Thank you... everyone who prayed while Mum and I travelled this week.
We had a disappointing trip north  - discovered that little mother was not even on the waiting list for surgery, but she is now. It could take up to 4 months before anything happens though. At least the scan happened so it was not a totally wasted trip but very tiring for an 87 year old.

So once more we are playing a waiting game. She now needs to be reassessed regarding living alone. At the moment she is still with me but wants to go back to her own home, understandably.

Here she is waiting in the hoist, or pope mobile
as they called it, to be put on the plane.
Once again I thank you for your kindness and prayers.

Normal service will resume
next week, hopefully :)

  1. Continued prayers for this situation Diana. I know it is hard to see your little mother wanting to go back to her home. She is fortunate to have you to care for her.

  2. Oh that sounds like a long time for your Mom to have to wait.
I will keep her in my prayers.

  3. Oh, bless her little heart! I am SO sorry, my friend. Thankfully, Jesus is the Great Physician, and there is no waiting list for Him. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think. I trust He will touch your dear, little mother, while she is waiting for the doctor. Please give her a big hug from me. :)

  4. Praying for you and your little Mum...I know how she must want to be MIL was like that as well, and now that she is in a nursing home she tells us to please never take her out of there...she loves it there! We never would have imagined it! Praying that your mother will have the strength to wait for the surgery, and that you will be able to care for her in the interim. Thank you for the update.

  5. Diana, thanks so much for visiting my blog which allowed me to reconnect with you and scroll back through months of your posts that I have missed. When I started following your blog I guess I neglected putting your blog address in my blogroll, which I just did now. I am glad you and yours had a happy family reunion! I am asking the Lord to comfort and encourage you as you wait for your mom's heart surgery. My mom had a major surgery at the age of 86 and healed amazingly well. I am so grateful for her long good life. Blessings on you and yours this week. xx

  6. Keeping you and the little mum in my thoughts. Best wishes to all.

  7. Saying a prayer for your Mum. She is blessed to have you to assist her. I know this is hard on you also. God bless you both. xoxo

  8. Hi there Diana, so sorry to hear about the difficulties your mum is having. It's really hard to see your parents struggling I know.
Many thanks for visiting my blog after me being away so long. Hope everything goes well for your mum. xx

  9. Dear Diana, continuing to pray for your Mum's welfare as she waits for the surgery and for you also that the Lord will give you strength and encouragement as you care for her. God bless all your family.

  10. Disappointing for you both but hopefully it will all come together in 4 months. I hope she can be able to live alone as she wants.

  11. I was just checking in to see how things were going. I'm sorry for the long wait; can only imagine how difficult that was for both of you. Prayerfully, all will be well very, very soon. xoxo
